Game of Thrones/A Song of Ice and Fire is a setting intended for mature audiences. You must be at least 18 years old to play. Themes that may be explored include moral ambiguity, death, violence, abuse, sexuality, religion, occult, incest, revenge, politics, feminism, and the patently unfair nature of dark ages life. If you have concerns or triggers that we should be aware of, please contact us, but due to the close-quarters nature of this event, complete avoidance of these themes may prove impossible.
Therefore, the following options are available.
Cut/Brake: If a scene causes out of game distress, a player may call “Cut” to end playing out the scene, or “Brake” to slow down the scene or pause so that a player may get their bearings. The remainder of the scene may be negotiated out of game, but be mindful of other players.
Fade to Black: The event takes place at a large formal royal party, so overt sexual activities seem unlikely. However, if one comes to pass, the event can be resolved with a Fade to Black.
All players are expected to be respectful of the site and each other, in and out of the game and throughout your stay at Wild Sky Ranch.
Treat others how you want to be treated, respect people’s boundaries and get affirmative consent when needed, and treat the property as you would your mother’s house. Let the staff know promptly if any problems arise.
Please make all reasonable efforts to respect the wishes of other participants regarding their desires to be included or excluded from photographs, video, and other recordings; and whether or not they are amenable to being tagged by name in such recordings on the internet (for example, in a photograph posted on a social networking site).
Blackfyre Rising will require some out of game negotiations for scenes, but otherwise please remain in character for the event. Someone may call “Decorum” if someone is egregiously out of game. If you need to take a break, you may leave game space to do so.
Inappropriate behavior or cheating can result in being asked to leave the event and/or being disinvited from future events held by Occultopus Productions. If you have any questions please contact staff.
